Jonathan Hiscock
Jon joined Mace in 1995, and became a director in 2002. He trained as an engineer and is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Civil Engineers and Structural Engineers.
Having begun his career in engineering consultancy with Waterman Group, Jon commenced his project management career with EC Harris in 1987. During his early years in project management Jon worked on a number of high profile commercial projects, including Stockley Park and the Little Britain development.
Jon has specialised in bringing private sector management skills to the public sector and in particular PFI projects. These have involved healthcare, education, student accommodation and keyworker housing. He currently sits on the public sector board with responsibility for the health sector.
Jon's work in healthcare began primarily when he joined the Capita Group to manage its capital developments in 1992 when the group had secured a number of contacts with NHS Trusts in the southeast. At the same time, PFI was emerging as the government's favoured procurement route and Jon was involved in advising on schemes preparing to adopt the initiative.
In leading the healthcare service offer for Mace, Jon has most recently been involved with a number of large health projects, including advising on PFI schemes for the Department of Health and running the Mace service offer for the Welsh Health Estates project management framework.
Jon has worked on a large number of diverse and complex projects. His approach focuses on strong communication and maximising efficiency to demonstrate value for money and added value. His understanding of the importance of stakeholder involvement is supported by sound technical knowledge of key healthcare issues.
Jon now lives in West London and has three children. Hobbies include swimming, sailing and reading.
