Mace appointed to large project for First Bahrain

Mace has been by appointed by client First Bahrain Real Estate Development to project manage the $450 million development located in the reclaimed district of Seef, near Manama in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The project will cover over 21,000 square metres, incorporating luxury hotel plus commercial office and residential elements. Mace will be in charge of managing the construction planning, project schedules, and handling operational, construction issues and procurement strategy.

Quoted in the Gulf Daily News (16.4.2008) Mace director Andrew Johnson commented: "Mace is delighted to work with First Bahrain in the realisation of its vision. The Seef development is one of the most pioneering and innovative developments in the Kingdom and we look forward to working successfully with First Bahrain to ensure the on-time completion of the project."

First Bahrain, whose principal shareholders are leading and regional institutions including Global Investment House, will be the primary developer for approximately 30 per cent of the project, focusing predominantly on the hospitality components.
