Mace appointed to three projects through University of York consultant framework

28/04/2008
Following a successful appointment to the University of York's consultant framework, Mace has been appointed to three projects for the institution: JB Morrell Library, National Science Learning Centre and Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics Centre.
The JB Morrell Library project involves the safe removal of all asbestos materials within the main campus library building and refurbishment post removal . As this building provides a key facility to the university, all works are to be carried out in phases to keep the library in operation with minimum disruption to students and staff.
For the second appointment Mace is managing the defects resolution of the National Science Learning Centre. The centre is an £11m purpose-built, state of the art facility situated on the campus at University of York, providing high quality professional development for everyone involved in the teaching of science, in primary and secondary schools and FE colleges across the UK.
Mace has also been appointed as project manager on an extension to the National Learning Centre to create a Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics Centre, made possible by a recent award of project funding.
