Mace Plus hosts 'Green' breakfast briefing

12/11/2009

Mace Plus hosted its ‘Plan A' breakfast briefing where Richard Gillies, Marks and Spencer director of Plan A, CSR and Sustainable Business was guest speaker.

Marks and Spencer is a long-term client for the group and is currently leading the way in responding to the carbon reduction agenda with 'Plan A', a five year programme that focuses on five strands including climate change, waste and raw materials. Why 'Plan A'? As Richard so eloquently put it: "because there's no plan B".

With momentum building around climate change, the low carbon economy, population growth and the resulting fuel and food shortages, the presentation covered the likely impacts of these issues on business and considered how we can respond while balancing the economic pressures of today with the demands of tomorrow.

Held at the Coq D'Argent in the City on Tuesday 3rd of November, the event was attended by more than 70 guests.
