Mace transportation team wins gold RoSPA award

10/04/2009

The Mace transporation team has won a gold award at the prestigious RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2009 for its work for client Metronet.

David Rawlins, RoSPA awards manager said: "The Mace rail team has shown a commitment to protecting the health and well-being of its own and other companies employees. Entering the RoSPA awards reinforces the message that good health and safety is good for business and clearly demonstrates an organisation's dedication to improving performance in this crucial area."

The award will be presented at the Birmingham Hilton Metropole Hotel at the National Exhibition Centre on Wednesday 13th of May. The ceremony will take place alongside the Safety and Health Expo 2009, Europe's leading annual health and safety exhibition.

The RoSPA Awards are not just about reducing the number of accident and cases of ill health at work. They also help to ensure that organisations have good health and safety management systems in place. In the current economic climate, these awards are more important than ever as they demonstrate that employers care about their employees well being and will not let their standards of health and safety practices slip.

The awards are sponsored by The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH), the UK's leading health and safety professional examining body
