Sense bowled over by recent success in Birmingham

Sense Cost Consultancy has recently secured two prominent projects from MCD Developments Ltd (MCD), based in the Jewellery Quarter of Birmingham.
MCD have appointed Sense to work with them and their other consultants, including Davis Weatherill (Architects), Nolan Associates (Structural Engineer), TEP (Services Engineer) and Turley Associates (Planning Consultant), on their 850,000 square feet mixed-use development scheme adjacent to the Warwickshire County Cricket Club ground at Edgbaston in Birmingham. The scheme is on programme for a detailed planning submission in the middle of December 2010 and currently comprises 3 and 4 bed family homes a small number of larger 2-bed apartments, serviced and graduate accommodation, offices and retail complete with surface and multi-storey car parks.
Sense has also been appointed by MCD as post-contract QS on a £6m mixed-use scheme to redevelop the old 1930’s built City College in Coventry into a 100-bed Premier Inn hotel with office and retail space below as phase 4 of their Earlsdon Park development. Works started on site in November 2010 for completion in November 2011 with JB Leadbitter & Co. as principal contractor.
