Information

Mace has been appointed by BankMuscat to provide project management consultancy services for the construction of their new iconic headquarters in the Al Seeb district of Muscat, Oman.

The project sees Mace working alongside W. S. Atkins as architect and construction managers, and cost consultants Hanscomb & Co.

Construction works started in January 2008 following approval by the municipality surveyor.

Described as iconic, the building marries futuristic design and traditional Omani architecture. The three main office areas are linked to an auditorium and state of the art executive suite of offices via a two story glass covered "street" with palm trees and traditional water features, housing restaurants, a gym and retail BankMuscat branch.

Going away from the Omani norm the open plan office areas will be linked by bridges and "floating" stairways with themed breakout areas between designed by Australian interior design firm Geyer.
