Macro has worked with BG Group, the worldwide energy supplier, providing facilities management as principal contractor since 2003. The contract is for a term of five years with an opportunity to extend for a further two years from September 2009. Macro provide strategic and tactical management.

Since Macro began working with BG a number of significant changes and improvements to the way they deliver of facilities management services have been made. Initially, Macro rebundled the services to enable clear responsibility and accountability and to facilitate accurate performance measurement. Our independence from any specific supply chain provided tangible benefits for BG including improved value for money, finding the right supplier for the right service and providing management with total transparency. Macro has also provided a customer service team on site, including the provision of a helpdesk.

The introduction of Macro's tried and tested procedures and processes provided efficiencies and accurate management reporting. Additionally the BG account is ISO9001 certified.

BG embarked on a major refurbishment of their Thames Valley Park headquarters at Reading in 2006 and Mace Group won the project management commission through the OJEU tender process. In an integrated service Macro and Mace worked closely together on the project, which completed in December 2008, giving the client a seamless transition from project completion through handover to the FM team.
