Information

Mace was commissioned by the client, Urban Regeneration Company (URC) Bradford Centre Regeneration, to programme manage and coordinate 40 projects within Bradford at the approximate value of £2bn.

Bradford Centre Regeneration was established in February 2003 to tackle the significant challenges faced by Bradford City Centre. BCR is funded by the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council (CBMDC), the regional development agency, Yorkshire Forward and the Homes and Communities Agency.

The key features of Mace's role in Bradford includes providing programme management and delivery advice whilst assessing project risks and issues, and preparing key milestones and project staus reports. Mace also liaises closely with private sector developers, CBMDC and Yorkshire Forward, to ensure that each development is in accordance with the renaissance plan for the city.

The programme for Bradford also encompasses the key activities and milestones associated with a major regeneration programme including procurement, land assemble, CPO issues, remediation, assembling the funding, stakeholder consultations and assembling the design and construction teams.
