Information

Our team completed the management of the construction of 20 demonstration homes, which form the model for the redevelopment of the South Kilburn Estate in North London. The scheme will require the construction of 1500 homes over the next 5 years. The homes have innovative design features including green roofs and are compliant with ECO Home standards.

This project is key to the successful regeneration of this area of London. It has attracted both local and national attention, with the foundation stone laying being undertaken by Keith Hill - Housing and Planning Minister at the time.

Mace worked closely with both Brent, South Kilburn New Deals for the Community and most importantly the building residents to ensure we achieved a product that met the aspirations of all involved. An interesting aspect of the building was the inclusion of a ‘green' roof achieving high sustainability scores.

We supported SKNDC in their drive to utilise local labour on the project and to offer training to local residents in developing their skills in the construction sector.
