Mace is currently working with client South West London Support Services Partnership (SSP) to provide building management expertise across 106 sites in Croydon, Kingston, Merton, Richmond and Sutton. The SSP's services cover facilities, estates, supplies and capital projects throughout the South West London NHS sector.

Mace has a large team of project managers working on a diverse range of projects that include the following services:

St John's Health Centre
Mace provided project management for the variation of a sample lift scheme, of which had been handed over eight months after Mace's appointment. Maces role was to project management the variation to Financial Close including achieving design delivery, Vfm, negotiation of the amendments to the Lease Plus Agreement and negotiation of the GP leases.

As a result of these works, Mace is currently providing project management services for all aspects of the delivery of three LIFT projects at Whitton Health Centre, Parkway Health Centre and Putney Hospital. Specialist support is being provided in relation to the financial, legal, design and business case delivery.

Wandsworth, Sutton and Merton redecoration programmes
Due to the successful delivery of first phases, Mace has been commissioned to continue these projects. The works include the redecoration and minor upgrading of a range of properties, primarily GP surgeries across public care trust (PCT) areas.

Wandsworth PCT Headquarters relocation
Having previously assisted in the relocation of SSP staff from Springfield hospital, Mace has been employed as project manager in the relocation of the PCTs headquarters staff, the new premises have been identified, with the relocation expected to be complete by March 2010. The Mace design team and Como are also involved with this programme.

Space optimization and planning
Mace and Macro are working across a number of primary care sites to realize the full potential of space available in relation to operational requirements, forecasted demand and potential for flexibility in the future.

Estates strategy development
Mace is currently planning a strategy for the development of polyclinincs within the PCT area and it is probable further schemes will arise as a result of these works.

Obesity service procurement
Mace is working with Wandsworth PCT on the procurement of a service provider to manage a series of obesity programmes across the PCT area. The project is currently in the production of specification stage with the procurement strategy still to be determined.

Equitable Access
An assessment and auditing system has been developed by Mace to determine the PCTs ability and strategy to deliver the governments Equitable Access programme, set up to support the Our Health, Our Future NHS Report which calls for PCTs to deliver a number of 24hr open access GP services.
