Information

For our client Develica Macniven (a joint venture), our team delivered the design and build of a mixed use development on the site of a car showroom at the junction of Streatham Place and New Park Road, consisting of 22 two bedroom flats for private sale. The flats are arranged on four floors above 553m2 of shell and core retail space divided into two units, for Tesco and Carphone Warehouse.

The structure is a reinforced concrete frame with piled foundations. The external envelope comprises cavity block work with external facings of fair faced brickwork. The top floor is a panelised lightweight steel pre-insulated cladding system. There is a single staircase and lift providing access to the residential units. The internal finishes of the apartment include timber and stone flooring and there are also landscaped external areas for car parking and amenity space.

The project forms part of a larger development that includes 18 affordable housing units and section 278 highway works.

The first key milestone was achieved in June 2006, with the handover of the retail units to Tesco. Handover of the residential units began December 2006 with completion achieved in January 2007.
