Information
Mace is proud to have delivered The Venetian in Macau, the world's largest single casino resort and a luxury destination for holidaymakers, shoppers and gamblers.
A project of seemingly endless superlatives, Mace and its local joint venture partner Hsin Chong completed the stunning Venetian in August 2007 to great acclaim. Built for Mace client The Sands Corporation, the resort takes the phrase ‘mixed use' to a new level, combining a the largest gambling hall in the world with extensive themed retail, restaurant, exhibition and entertainment space around a system of working waterways.
The overall project is bigger than four Empire State Buildings in square footage, making it the world's second largest building. Other features include:
- 728,000ft2 casino and gaming halls (equivalent of 16 football pitches)
- 946,000ft2 retail and restaurant space
- 1,000,000ft2 of exhibition halls and meeting facilities
- 2,800,000ft2 of parking and back of house areas
- 3000 bed hotel (approx 3,500,000ft2)
- 5,000 seat stadium
The project also featured a complex programme of external works, roof gardens, lagoons, wave pools, and italianate canals.
Fresh from this success, Mace is already working on two other casino resort projects with the Sands Corporation, The Marina Bay Sands in Singapore and Parcels 5/6 in Macau.
